About Myra

Myra has studied and taught Yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition, meditation, and energy management since the late 1980s. Her in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and psychology enables her to approach people at their level encouraging the integration of healthy balanced practices as a foundation for living. Myra’s natural insight—honed by extensive study and hands on experience—allows her to root out the cause of persistent problems, revealing a path to balance and harmony.

She offers individual counseling, meditation retreats, teacher-training, and inspiring workshops around the globe. Honoring the holistic nature of the human being, she has helped many people move from destructive paths toward fulfillment. She works with people in any stage of life including the elderly and those recovering from addiction. Myra provides herbal formulas for balancing the individual. She also created a line of organic Ayurvedic aromatherapy oils for personal use and spice oils for cooking.

Myra is a professional mediator, a minister in The Church of Aesclepion Healing, organic farmer, and creative Ayurvedic cook. Her book, Freedom in Your Relationship with Food: an Everyday Guide, explains how to reawaken our sacred connection to what we consume. A second book that illustrates how to embody love is currently in progress. Myra has been an expert guest for numerous radio shows and print articles.

Myra was grandfathered as a Yoga Alliance ERYT500 in 2003 with over 9000 hours teaching experience and has a 500 hour certificate from International Yoga Studies. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and conducts a Yoga Alliance registered school for teacher training emphasizing a harmonized approach to Yoga and Ayurveda. Having practiced as a counselor in Ayurveda since 1999 and in her own life since 1995, Myra has focused on in-depth Ayurvedic study with the top practitioners in India and the US.

Previously, Myra had a diverse career in the fields of medicine, executive management, and business consulting. Her experience as a corporate executive and consultant provided the jumping off point for her current path. Integrating Yoga and Ayurveda into her own life allowed her to overcome the challenges of rheumatoid arthritis and leukemia.

With her focus on growth and service, Myra also enjoys world travel, surfing, hiking and playing with her dogs. Her students benefit from the example of her joy-filled life as much as from her teachings.
